Nocturne (CD)

Step into a beautifully orchestrated twilight with Nocturne, the stunning full-length debut album from the classically trained British sibling duo Wasia Project (Olivia Hardy and Will Gao). Meticulously building on their breakout jazz-pop success, this 12-track concept record functions as a vivid sonic transition from dusk until dawn. For the books and lovers club collection, it serves as the absolute ultimate listening companion—an artful, deeply literary coming-of-age record meant for candlelit nights, existential late-night reading, and quiet romantic introspection.

Musically, Nocturne is a brilliant masterclass in contrast. The duo effortlessly alchemizes their classical background and signature chamber-pop roots with kinetic, Berlin-inspired trance loops, moody electronica, and sweeping, cinematic strings. Olivia’s velvet, jazz-inflected vocals guide you seamlessly from melancholic, piano-led bedroom confessions like "Nightingale" and "Voices In My Head" to the euphoric, pulse-pounding dancefloor landscapes of "Bleeding Gold" and "Vogue". It captures the raw friction of adolescence, distance, and changing identity, reading like a beautifully penned diary entry set to a sprawling, nocturnal score.
